For detailed information, other images and documents, please select individual articles from the following table.

Flange sealant

This product is a high-temperature resistant, form-in-place anaerobic-curing sealant, which forms an instant, low-pressure seal when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. Ideal for rigid flanges, especially in transmissions and motor casings. Unprimed gap-fill is 0.01" (0.25mm). Recommended for use with aluminum and steel substrates. This product can be used with or without pre-cut, pre-formed gaskets.

NoticeDirections for use
Cleaning:use a scraper to remove residues from flange surfaces. Remove burrs. It is recommended to degrease and clean surfaces prior to applying the sealant. For serial production make sure that surfaces are free of contaminations.
Activation:If cure speed of product is too slow due to passive metals or low temperature (below 5℃), use activator and allow to dry.
Application:Apply a continuous bead of sealant onto one flange surface. Place the bead close to the inner rim of the flange and encircle all bolt holes. Small surface scratches will be filled by the adhesive. can also be applied by roller onto larger flanges.
Assembly:Assemble flanges and tighten bolts as soon as possible. Wipe away any excess squeeze-out, as this will not cure when exposed to air due to the sealant's anaerobic curing properties.
Clean-up:Cured product can be removed by soaking in a solvent, and mechanical removal with a soft scraper. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols. Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with detergent.
